news

Welcome back. I have missed you sorely. Since the publication of the last Write Press Newsletter, there have been a multitude of internal changes, not only with our staff, but also in the world at large. Change is imminent and regardless of what happens on the planet, this newsletter is the medium that I will use to speak from the heart about topics that impact the human condition.

The latest hot button issue is described in a recent article published on the MSN News website. The article recounts the story of hundreds, if not thousands, of New Jersey residents living in tents. These tent cities are filled with people who––after losing their jobs, houses, friends, and basic necessities––have adapted to the next season of their lives living on the street. According to Web News Jax, tent cities are becoming a norm in the United States. The chronically unemployed, a mixture of all ages, cultures, and genders, make up the majority of tent dwellers. This new primitive community brings more than a slew of unwanted dangers into many neighborhoods. More importantly, it speaks volumes about even the most extraordinary people succumbing to life’s stressors. Life is tough, especially given our global economic condition, and some people with many years of work experience and education have given up and allowed hopelessness to take a mental stronghold.

A Big Thank You - To Our Sponsors

Twenty-Thou & the Wright Shop

Life cannot always be about me contrary to popular belief. Even if I were that self-absorbed, at some point each of us must acknowledge that worldly success is impossible without the commitment from peers, friends and family. Although the formation of Write Press News was birthed long before I met these two sponsors -- Twenty-Thou & the Wright Shop --their support is a critical component of keeping this medium alive. Both sponsors are highly-educated women, intellectual entrepreneurs and I am blessed that our paths have crossed on this journey in developing our dreams. So, a shout out to all Write Press News faithful readers, please visit the sponsor websites and support their initatives with your purchase. Thank You.
